The EDIGIT project was recently presented to STEM educators and professionals at the Science on Stage Festival 2026, held in Klaipėda, Lithuania.

Javier Pereira and Irene Brage from Centro de Investigación TIC – Universidade da Coruña (CITIC) showcased various technological developments and shared experiences with academics  and researchers from across Europe.

Their participation was made possible after being selected by the “Ciencia en Acción” jury as one of only five initiatives to represent Spain at the festival. During the event, the team presented practical solutions designed to enhance the accessibility and participation of people with disabilities. These innovations included ‘Licornio’ (a support device for digital interaction), an emotion pictogram board, Scratch-developed adapted video games, as well as Nintendo Switch controller adaptations.

The event also provided an opportunity to highlight the EDIGIT project, an Erasmus+ initiative that constitutes the European expansion of the Talentos Inclusivos programme. The project brings together schools, social care entities and technology organisations across Europe to promote more inclusive approaches to digital education.

The Science on Stage Festival, which gathers STEM education professionals every two years to exchange innovative resources and good practices, was  an ideal setting to amplify EDIGIT’s mission. By participating in such forums, the consortium reinforces its commitment to creating accessible technological solutions with a real societal impact and awakening inclusive STEM vocations across Europe.
