On 23 and 24 September, EDIGIT partners met in Prague for our fourth Transnational Project Meeting. The meeting was hosted by our Czech partner, Gymnázium Jiřího Gutha-Jarkovského (GJGJ).
The project is now moving from content development to testing. During the meeting, we reviewed the work that has been completed so far, and we planned the next steps for our training materials and online platform.
In the coming months, partners will translate and review the materials and test the platform’s functionality and accessibility. This will help us ensure that the resources are clear, easy to use and useful for teachers, educators and other professionals looking to promote accessibility and inclusive values in STEM education across Europe.
We also discussed plans for the Training of Trainers sessions, which will take place in A Coruña in 2027. These sessions will introduce participants to the EDIGIT materials and include practical activities based on inclusive co-creation.
Participants will work together to identify needs and accessibility barriers and explore how technology can respond to them. This hands-on approach will help teachers and educators put the project’s ideas into practice and share them with their students.
As part of the meeting programme, our hosts also welcomed us to Gymnázium Jiřího Gutha-Jarkovského, where we learned more about the school and its experience in education. The visit gave partners and participating teachers an opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from one another.
Following the Prague meeting, our focus now turns to preparing the materials and platform for testing. The feedback collected during this phase will help us improve the resources before we share them more widely.
Through this work, EDIGIT aims to give teachers and educators practical tools to introduce accessibility and universal design into STEM education, helping future technology developers understand and respond to the diverse needs of society.
