We are proud to have participated in the prestigious annual CSUN Assistive Technology Conference, held in Los Angeles from 10th to 14th March 2025. With over 40 years of history, CSUN is a leading global event in accessibility and assistive technology, bringing together over 5,000 attendees, including researchers, educators, and professionals in the field. The conference featured a variety of keynote speakers, demonstrations, and technical sessions, all focused on shaping the future of assistive technology.
As part of the Talentos Inclusivos initiative led by CITIC at the University of A Coruña (UDC), this year’s event gave us a unique opportunity to showcase our work and exchange ideas with experts in the field. Participating in this renowned event allowed us to further promote our mission to reduce the digital divide for people with disabilities, particularly through the adoption of accessible teaching approaches in STEM education.
The core objective of EDIGIT is to equip educators with the tools and competences needed to develop inclusive practices in STEM, while raising awareness of disability among students.
About Talentos Inclusivos
Talentos Inclusivos is a project developed by the CITIC (Information and Communications Technology Research Center) of the UDC (University of A Coruña) and ASPACE Coruña, with the support of the FECYT (Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology) of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities; the UDC Social Council; the A Coruña City Council; and the Xunta de Galicia (Government of Galicia) through the Ministries of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training, and Social Policy and Equality.
Its goal is to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers among young people and raise awareness of the reality of disability through collaborative working teams to solve technological challenges faced by people with cerebral palsy.
